Hale meets Milner and his band of travellers. Their home is a huge wooden caravan Village equivalent to 12 terrace houses. It is rolled along huge tree trunks the last one constantly being placed in front of the entourage

A number of people are outside the Village each making use of discs of wood cut off the rollers by a pair with a saw. There are tables, barbecues, frisby throwing etc Everything except something useful
MILNER: ITS HARD WORK WHEN WE TRAVEL BUT WE REST OFTEN AND WE ALWAYS CARRY A CONSTANT SOURCE OF RAW MATERIALS FOR LEISURE
