SYNOPIS

PAGE 1


A sleek space craft pierces through space. Its occupants are Jan and Vi on their way home after many years away with their new born, as yet unmanned, triplets.

Caption: A MISSION TOO LONG, A MISSION FAR FROM HOME, A MISSION NOW COMPLETE


The destination of the craft, a planet, looms huge with it's twin suns. Jan And Vi stand in silhouette watching

VI: ITS STILL SO BEAUTIFUL

JAN: NOT COMPARED TO YOU

VI: WILL THEY BE SURPRISED TO SEE US?


Jan and Vi look in on their onboard nursery at their precious 3 sons

JAN: NOT HALF AS SURPRISED AS WHEN THEY SEE THIS CROWD

VI: WILL THEY APPROVE OF US?

JAN: YES, WE'RE BOTH FROM NOBLE FOUNDING FAMILIES, RESPECTFUL OF TRADITIONS. WE'VE RETURNED FOR THE NAMING CEREMONY


As they make final approaches Jan drives and Vi navigates

VI: THERE'S SOMETHING VERY WRONG HERE

JAN: WE'RE LOSING ELECTRICAL POWER AND CONTROLS HAVE GONE HAYWIRE

VI: SOMETHING VERY WRONG


The craft descends almost out of control towards the planet in a great heat trail

JAN: HOLD ON THIS IS GOING TO BE STICKY


The craft crash lands on a desolate plain full of rubble and is a smoldering wreck broken into many pieces

JAN: HOME SWEET HOME


Vi and Jan emerge from the wreck with the 3 children in papooses

VI: LUCKILY ALL SURVIVED, WITH MINOR ABRASIONS

JAN: ITS NOT LUCK IT'S THANKS TO YOUR FATHER'S GENIUS


Jan and Vi stare at the rubble realising this is where their civilization used to stand

JAN: SOMETHING VERY WRONG

A huge winged dinosaur perches on a rock eyeing the visitors


Jan sifts forlornly sifts the building wreckage

VI: THIS IS DEFIANTLY THE RIGHT PLACE

JAN: MY UNCLE'S DREAM IN RUINS, A PEACEFUL NATION SHATTERED BY FORCES UNKNOWN


The dinosaur takes off and flies towards the visitors

Sfx: KERCAWWW


The dinosaur grabs Vi by her papoose and carries her and one son off

VI: AH, JAN

JAN: OI STOP YOU MAGGOT INFESTED SON OF SHE WOLF


Vi falls from the dinosaur's grasp but the baby remains in it's claws

VI: ARRGH!


The dinosaur flies off and Jan kneels helpless. He stands over the crumbled body of Vi

VI: MY BABY

JAN: CURSE YOU, THIS IS NOT OVER!

Jan and Vi have searched through he craft wreckage and kitted themselves out to chase after their son. Vi has a broken ankle and leans on a crutch. Jan carries a rucksack and the babies

VI: LEAVE ME HERE, I'LL SLOW YOU DOWN, I CAN LOOK AFTER MYSELF

JAN: NO, EVEN IF I HAVE TO CARRY YOU, WE WILL NOT BE SEPARATED THIS IS OUR SON, OUR PLANET OUR VENDETTA


The pair hike off cross country

JAN: WINTER'S COMING THE BEAST MIGHT STILL BE NESTING IN THE MOUNTAINS BEFORE THEY MIGRATE


Jan has fashioned a boat and swims across a lake tugging it with Vi and the 2 sons inside. Vi keeps watch with a crude bow and arrow

VI: YOU MUST REST, I'LL FIX YOU A HEALING POTION


Jan drags Vi on a stretcher up the mountain paths

JAN: AS MY FATHER SAID 'NOT WHILE LIGHT STILL CASTS A SHADOW'


Jan finds the beast and his son resting on a huge pillar in the middle of a canyon. He straps a small recovered jet pack on to his back

JAN: THERE SHE BLOWS, STAY HERE I WONT BE LONG


Jan flies right at the beast

JAN: OUR PEOPLE ARE NOT JUST KNOW FOR THEIR FRIENDLY GREETINGS

Jan ploughs straight into the beast's stomach winding it

Sfx: KERPLOOM

JAN: YOU HAVE MY SON SO LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO THE FAMILY


During a bloody struggle Jan is grasped by the beast, he wields his sword

JAN: DROP THE CHILD OR LOOSE THE CLAW


Jan slices off the claw

JAN: WRONG CHOICE FOSSIL FACE

Sfx: KERSHRIEK


The wounded beast grabs the baby and flies off, leaving a souvenir claw and a battered Jan who eventually collapses

JAN: COME BACK AND FIGHT, I'LL TRADE YOU YOUR... LIFE... FOR... MY S. O. N

Sfx: KERTHUD


Much later Jan recovers to find himself back on the mountain. Vi has dragged him back on a rope. She who nurses his beaten body

JAN: WHAT?

VI: YOU BEEN OUT COLD FOR A DAY AND LOST A LOT OF BLOOD

JAN: NOT QUITE THE WELCOME WE EXPECTED

VI: THEY'LL BE OTHER DAYS TO FINISH THIS


Jan struggles to his feet raising the claw into the sunset

JAN: IN THE NAME OF THE UNCLE THE FIRST EMPEROR OF THIS PLANET AND MY FATHER HIS DEVOTED BROTHER. I RECLAIM IT FOR HIS PEOPLE. OUR BLOODLINE WILL NOT REST UNTIL IT IS RESTORED.

JAN: THEIR DREAM WILL LIVE ON IN OUR SONS, I NAME IN THEIR MEMORY TRIGO AND BRAG
